Plant Essences & Your Skin
Sodashi has spent many years researching and testing the role that plant essences, also known as essential oils, play in protecting and nourishing the skin
Plant essences have been used for thousands of years for the enhancement of health, well-being and beauty. It has only been over the past 10 years or so, that we have come to realise again how fortunate we are to be able to call on the aromatic plants of this world, to assist us in our pursuit for retaining our youthful looks and healthy appearance.
The gentleness of the rose, the shy calmness of the chamomile, the unobtrusive but supportive lavender; are our allies in treating our delicate, but often sensitive skin. The partnership between plant oils and plant essences, without the addition of harsh chemicals, artificial fragrances, colours, preservatives and filters, presents the best possible basis for an effective, natural and safe skin care regimen.
Sodashi uses only the highest quality therapeutic grade plant essences. The plant essences we choose for our products are unadulterated and satisfy our high expectations for optimal results.
Plant Essences & Appropriate Dosages
The concentration of a plant essence in any part of the plant varies and is dependant on the season of the year, soil condition, amount of rainfall and the number of hours of sunshine. When used in low, appropriate doses (as used in all Sodashi products), plant essences are very safe for the skin. Plant essence dosages, such as applied in preparations for massage, in baths or for steam inhalations, are always small.
Plant Essences, Pregnancy & Medical Conditions
None of the plant essences contained in Sodashi products are known to interfere with any type of medication. Due to the high quality of the plant essences used and the absence of chemicals, reactions to Sodashi products are minimal. If in doubt, a patch test prior to using a product is recommended. All plant essences that Sodashi chooses to use are completely safe to use during pregnancy.

Rosehip Oil (rosa rubiginosa)
Is used to successfully reduce wrinkles and signs of premature aging. It regenerates and repairs skin tissue and is excellent for reducing the formation of scar tissue.
Palmarosa Plant Essence (cymbopogon martini)
Has a hydrating effecting on skin tissue, stimulates natural secretion of sebum and is used to stimulate cellular regeneration.
Gotu Kola Plant Extract (centella asiatica)
Stimulates collagen formation and is excellent for reducing signs of ageing.
Bilberry Plant Extract (vaccinium myrtillus)
Improves the function of fine blood vessels, especially capillaries and stimulates capillary repair.
Macadamia Plant Oil (macadamia integrifoila)
Is highly nourishing and moisturising, excellent for dry skin.

Pre Tan Preparation
Before Your Session
Shower and thoroughly exfoliate your skin
Waxing and shaving should be done at least 24 hours before.
To Your Session
Your skin must be completely free of any moisturizer, deodorant, make-up or perfumes
Wear loosely fitted clothing after your tan
After Tan Care
Avoid activities that will cause over-perspiration. You may shower after 5-8 hours. Moisturise daily using AVIVA's exclusive after care products.
The use of hot baths, chlorinated pools and spas will reduce the life of your tan.
